At Cygnet Bostall House we are pleased to have a flexible approach towards visiting. However our Hospital do have individual requirements so as to not compromise any patient treatment or safety.
Visiting hours
Visitors can call to arrange visiting times directly with the ward staff between 09:00 am and 19:00 pm. (please note that lunch time 12:00 to 13:00 which is protected time as the services users will be having their lunch at this time).
Visitors under the age of 18
Children under the age of 18 are welcome to visit, however it is important that the nursing team are made aware in advance as they will need to carry out a risk assessment and create a management plan. The young person must be supervised by a visiting adult for the duration of the visit and should not be left unsupervised within the hospital or the grounds.
Meals
If you would like to stay for dinner, please ask a member of the nursing team to inform the kitchen. Guest meals may be paid for at the time. Dinner is served at 5.30pm.
What to expect on arrival at the hospital
On arrival, you will be greeted and asked to sign in and out at the main entrance when arriving and leaving the building and also report to the nursing office on arrival to the ward. You will be asked if you have any contraband items and we may ask to search your bag to ensure none of these items are taken onto the premises. This is a security measure for both you and the service user you are visiting.
Parking
At Cygnet Bostall House, we have a free visitor’s car park. Should there be no vacant spaces, there is free parking on Bostall Heath Road.
A Smoke Free Environment
As of 1st April 2024 Cygnet Bostall House is a ‘smoke-free environment’. This means that no person will be permitted to smoke anywhere on the hospital grounds, this includes the car parks, the grounds and the hospital courtyards.
